THANKS FOR THE HONOR
I wish to express my appreciation to PCT magazine and Compelling Communications for the accuracy of their research and superb way they wrote the article. (See PCT’s December 2005 Professional of the Year story.) I have received many accolades and congrats from pest management friends across the country. It has been very overwhelming.
Thank you to Dan Moreland, Brad Harbison, Jodi Dorsch and all the others at PCT who are responsible for making this selection. You have given us much needed strength and determination by honoring us with this recognition.
We are working diligently here to rebound from the effects of the hurricane. Our communities have faced such peril and in some cases total devastation from Katrina. Our company structures have been repaired or will soon to be replaced. Thankfully, we have the personnel, physical plant and support of our industry to help our operation. Because of these blessings, we have been able to assist FEMA with pest management services and, as a result, helped to offset our hurricane-related losses. However, it is certain we will face a greater challenge once the post-hurricane work is complete. The loss of our core business is such that we will need considerable new work to fill the huge void. I believe with prayer, hope, faith and perspiration our company will prevail. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers.
Again, thanks to you all, or as we say down here “y’all,” for honoring us and giving us inspiration through your gift.

PCT GREAT FOR TRAINING
I was pleased to have quotes included in your publication. All of us at B&B Exterminating find the magazine very educational and informative. In fact, we regularly utilize the training topics and business concepts found in your articles. Thank you again for including us in Pest Control Technology and feel free to contact us in the future.

KRAMER MISSTATEMENT
In my January 2006 “Technically Speaking” column I incorrectly stated that aerosols provide no residual activity. As Dave Nardolilli of Whitmire Micro-Gen graciously pointed out, there are many aerosol formulations that provide residual activity. I should have said that space sprays provide no residual activity.
