Innovative Pest Control Products was issued a new patent (#7,310,908), which complements and expands on existing patents on the Ant & Roach Café Ready To Use (RTU) bait station. This Ready to Use Bait Station holds ¾ ounces of liquid bait and is available in an economically priced 24 count box, the company reports. This package also contains 24 double-sided pieces of tape to facilitate spill-resistant placements. The company says the newly issued patent will enhance its ability to provide the pest control industry with cost-effective methods for the placement of its Gourmet Liquid Ant Bait.
Rockwell Labs Ltd

The new InVade Bio Bullet is available from Rockwell Labs Ltd. Bio Bullets are packed with 4 billion microbe spores per gram to digest grease and other organic matter build-up in grease traps, interceptors and drain lines. The Bio Bullet is hung in the waste flow area and, as water washes over it, the Bio Bullet slowly dissolves, releasing waste-digesting bacteria. The included nets make the Bio Bullet simple to hang in traps and interceptors, and from drain covers, the company reports.
The Bio Bullets also can be laid on top of drains under counters or in other non-traffic areas. As water washes into the drain, the Bio Bullet slowly will dissolve to release microbes into the drain. InVade Bio Bullets are available in 1- and 5-pound sizes. The Bio Bullets last 30 to 90 days, depending upon the flow rate where they are used.
Syngenta Professional Products

The Demand brand product family by Syngenta Professional Products includes three different formulations of lambda-cyhalothrin with unique technologies that offer a variety of choices for controlling ants.
Demand CS with iCAP technology combines an advanced-generation pyrethroid with a unique capsule suspension formulation. The technology encases the active ingredient in an optimal size range of microcapsules that hold their shape and protect the active ingredient.
Second, Demand EZ with iCAP technology offers the general pest protection and long residual power of Demand CS in a less-concentrated formulation.
Third, Demand G brings the same active ingredient and same efficacy as Demand CS and Demand EZ, but in a granule formulation. Demand G features active release technology that allows optimal release of the active ingredient off the granule, the company said.
Bayer Environmental Science

TopChoice Tool Kits from Bayer Environmental Science are designed to help pest management professionals educate homeowners about the dangers of fire ants and sell more TopChoice treatments. Each tool kit includes door hangers, brochures and coupons. Pest management professionals can use the promotional materials to increase business with existing customers and produce additional income through referrals, according to Bayer.
TopChoice is a low-dose granular insecticide that both kills and prevents fire ants for up to one year through a single application. Within the first four to six weeks of a TopChoice application, ants unknowingly come in contact with the active ingredient and bring it back to contaminate and eliminate the rest of the mound through the Domino Effect. TopChoice then remains in the soil to prevent new colonies from forming.
Whitmire Micro-Gen

Prescription Treatment-brand Allure MD (mating disruption) controls stored product moths by proactive prevention instead of reactive treatment techniques. Allure MD dispensers release synthetic moth sex pheromone, which mimics the natural pheromone of females and results in a disruption of the mating process, the company said. If male moths cannot find females and mate, the females cannot lay fertile eggs, causing the moth population to decline.
In addition to Indian meal moths, Allure MD is labeled for Mediterranean flour moths, tropical warehouse moths, almond moths, tobacco moths and raisin moths. Each dispenser lasts 90 days, and the dispenser technology reduces clean-up and shutdown costs associated with other treatment methods. This is the first time the technology has been approved by EPA for use indoors against stored food pests, according to Whitmire Micro-Gen.
BASF

EPA has approved a label amendment for Termidor SC termiticide/insecticide and Termidor WG termiticide/insecticide. Termidor now can be used to treat for the following: Asian lady and darkling beetles; boxelder bugs, pillbugs; centipedes; cockroaches (Australian, Oriental and smokybrown); house crickets, European earwigs, cluster flies, millipedes; silverfish; spiders (black widow, brown recluse, cellar and hobo); brown dog ticks; and paper wasps and yellow jackets.
Additionally, while the previous Termidor labels implicitly allowed for use in both preventive and curative termite treatments, the amended labels now clearly define the flexibility for both types of structural termite treatments. The label was amended to clearly define that post-construction treatments can be made for the purpose of protecting structures from termite infestation and/or for controlling existing termite populations.
Protect-A-Bed
www.protectabed.com
Protect-A-Bed’s bed bug bedding encasement system provides pest management professionals with an effective tool for the management of bed bug infestations. The three separate encasements help to effectively “crash” a bed bug population on the first visit and lessen the inordinate amount of time typically spent on the bedding by restricting the movement of migrating bed bugs, as well as making them readily identifiable and easy to spot, the company reports.
All Protect-A-Bed encasements use the patented BugLock enclosure system, which has been scientifically proven to be completely bed bug proof, the company said. The BugLock enclosure system incorporates a sealed safety trench that is stitched around the typically vulnerable zipper clasp, as well as micro-zipper teeth for an extra tight seal. Protect-A-Bed’s bed bug bite proof, entry-proof and escape-proof encasements are easy to use, comfortable to sleep on and provide pest management professionals with another bed bug management tool.

www.inspectorfx.com
New Image Software has released Inspector FX version 8.59. This version has more than 70 upgrades, as well as a new graphical interface. A new summary function automatically sorts all page comments and adds the ability to add color-coded perspectives. This release also provides Texas inspectors with an easy-to-use report creator for the mandatory TREC report. Pest management professionals can now also add up to 10 additional pages to each ProForm module, and the pages can be populated from standardized text-based forms. In addition, an unlimited number of photos can be added to each report.

Easy to set, the NoMol mole trap is a simple and cost-effective way to control mole populations on any sized property, the company said. The NoMol trap is set completely beneath the surface of the ground, making it invisible to passersby, and safe for children and pets, the company said, and doesn’t hinder lawn mowing or other lawn maintenance activities. The NoMol traps are set in pairs, so catching “doubles” is possible, and they will effectively capture moles, voles and shrews, the company said. The NoMol is sold in dozens for professionals. The NoMol is available Zinik-plated for rust resistance.
