Liphatech
www.liphatech.com
Liphatech introduced Generation BlueMax Meal, the only difethialone-based meal rodenticide available to pest management professionals in North America, the company says. With difethialone, Generation BlueMax Meal is a single-feed rodenticide formulated with half the active ingredient concentration of other anticoagulants — making it highly palatable and almost non-detectable to Norway rats, house mice and roof rats, Liphatech reports.
Generation BlueMax Meal is a good choice for pest management professionals who need to draw rodents off of competing food sources. In addition, it is labeled for baiting Norway rat burrows. The antidote for difethialone, which is the same antidote for any other anticoagulant rodenticide, is vitamin K1.
Available as a bulk meal, Generation BlueMax Meal is packaged in an 18-pound re-sealable plastic pail. Place packs of Generation BlueMax Meal will be available early this year.

Bayer Environmental Science
www.bayerprocentral.com
Bayer Environmental Science announced the availability of TopChoice calibration trays. The calibration trays, which are featured in the TopChoice fire ant control video that is available free of charge, allow applicators to quickly measure and adjust the amount of TopChoice dispersed by a spreader to match the label rate of 2 pounds per 1,000 square feet.
The calibration trays help TopChoice applicators deliver long-term, cost-effective control of fire ants, Bayer reports. Top Choice calibration trays should be placed on both sides of the spreading path. In a properly calibrated spreader, the product will exactly fill the corner pocket of the trays. If it doesn’t, PCOs should adjust the spreader setting accordingly. The trays enable PCOs to determine the correct overlap of the spread pattern required to obtain proper coverage.

Nisus Corporation has made Niban granular bait available to pest management professionals in a rigid 25-pound pail as well as the company’s patented 4-pound Comfort Grip container and 40-pound bags. Niban is a borate-based weatherized granular perimeter bait used outdoors or indoors to kill and control cockroaches, crickets, silverfish and all species of ants, including carpenter ants. It won’t degrade in heat or sunlight and lasts through 4 inches of rain without molding. Niban provides a broad-spectrum kill. It works by disrupting insect metabolism, effectively starving the affected insects.
