Developed to control voles, pocket gophers and ground squirrels, Rodent Rid has a broad label for use on lawns, golf courses, parks, ornamental and non-bearing fruit tree plantations, nurseries and other non-crop areas. A restricted-use pesticide, Rodent Rid contains 2 percent zinc phosphide formulated with human food-grade ingredients for a highly palatable bait that works well with food in animals’ natural environments, Bell Labs reports. Depending upon the location, the bait can be either broadcast or hand applied. Once consumed, the bait kills pests in as little as 24 hours. Rodent Rid is similar to Bell’s ZP Rodent Bait AG, which has a broad use label for large operations outdoors and is only available in 50-pound bags. Rodent Rid was developed for smaller applications on a select number of outdoor pests. It comes in a 3-pound pail that is easy-to-carry and reseals tightly.

The unit’s large graphical display clearly shows off-track direction and distance along with swath number, ground speed, selected guidance mode and whether a return point has been stored. An alternate map page shows a bird’s-eye view of the vehicle position and heading in relation to the desired path. The CenterLine 220 features an internal WAAS compatible GPS receiver, with 5 Hz position update, in a durable housing with a sealed rubber keypad. A small external GPS antenna connects to the unit and is mounted on the vehicle roof. Using disposable glue pads, snakes are captured and easily can be removed, the company reports. The plastic container is reusable and each trap comes with appropriate sized glue pad inserts. The trap comes in two sizes: large, which measures 32 by 10 by 2½ inches and medium, which measures 16 by 5¼ by 2¼ inches. The medium is sized for smaller snakes and the large trap can handle the largest of nuisance snakes. With both, snakes can be released unharmed, if desired. The system consists of two plugs, the IP exterior and the IP interior. The IP interior is a molly design for drywall or thinwall applications. The IP exterior is used in wood or other materials with a thickness of at least ¾ inch. Both are installed in a 1-inch hole using a ½-inch socket wrench. After the plugs are in place, inject any pesticide or wood preservative, then put Insert Solutions’ paintable decorative cap in place. Thermal Wall Injection System & Treatments (TWIST) is the only system where treatments can be applied to the inside of walls, cabinets, ceilings, kitchen pantries, bath vanities, decorative columns, etc.
