Killroy Pest Control, Campbell, Calif., is planning for its 50th anniversary this year. The company was founded in 1956 by Norma and Phil Olavarri.

Patriot Pest Management, Greer, S.C., celebrated the end of the company’s first year in business by teaming up with the local Marine Corps Toys For Tots program. The company built a float (below) and entered numerous parades to promote Toys For Tots. Keith Ruegsegger, president of Patriot Pest Management, said he had been involved with Toys For Tots for three years and felt it was a “perfect fit” for the company.
Atlanta-based Arrow Exterminators acquired Viking Pest Control of Phoenix, Ariz.

Knockout Pest Control, Uniondale, N.Y., has become the newest partner of Habitat for Humanity of Suffolk. According to Les Scheinfeld, associate director of Habitat for Humanity Suffolk, Knockout will provide, at no cost, each new Habitat home with termite control using the Sentricon Termite Colony Elimination System.

Ford’s Hometown Services, the new name of Griggs & Browne of Worcester County, Mass., is celebrating its 65th anniversary in pest management. Ford’s Hometown Services is a third-generation, family-owned busines offering services throughout New England.

Admiral Pest Control, a third-generation family-owned pest control company serving Los Angeles and Orange County, recently was profiled in the Press-Telegram. Admiral was honored for its longevity in the community by the city of Bellflower. The company received its longevity award from the mayor of Bellflower during a special ceremony.
