Bayer Environmental Science has introduced Maxforce FC Select Roach Killer Bait Gel. The new roach gel formulation attracts and kills finicky, aberrant feeding cockroaches, as well as normal, non-bait-averse strains, the company reports. With the active ingredient fipronil, Maxforce FC Select kills cockroaches by ingestion, contact and the Domino Effect, a delayed killing action that enables one contaminated roach to kill many others where they live and breed. Available through authorized distributors nationwide, Maxforce FC Select comes in 30-gram reservoirs designed for use with the Maxforce Bait Injector. The product comes with four reservoirs per box and five boxes per case.

The B&G Flex-A-Lite (2600 model) is a hand-held aerosol applicator for ULV and power mist applications indoors and outdoors. The nozzle on the applicator hose can be adjusted to deliver a range of droplet sizes and spray patterns. At the lowest settings the droplet size is effective for indoor application for controlling mosquitoes and other small flies, also for controlling house flies, and overwintering wasp queens and cluster flies in attics and wall voids. The long hose extension permits directing the spray into harborages that contain spiders, silverfish, and bed bugs. As a power mister, the Flex-A-Lite can be used outdoors to control a variety of pests. The tank is rotation-molded as a one-piece, copolymer without seams or hinges that can produce weak spots or leaks. The box-design provides a sprayer that is easy to carry, will not tip over when placed on uneven surfaces, and it is rugged enough to ride in the back of the truck. The 18-inch hose permits application into pest harborages indoors and outdoors. The spray output is adjustable through a range of droplet sizes, from ULV to power-mist. The nozzle has been calibrated for the common settings.
