Late last year, McDonough, Ga.’s Active Pest Control President Tony Carder announced the acquisition of Rome, Ga.-based Thornton Pest Control. Carder said this acquisition will provide a strong Northwest Georgia presence for Active Pest Control, which is headquartered in Henry County, Ga.
“The acquisition of Thornton Pest Control is a perfect fit for Active Pest Control as it gives us a strong presence in the growing Floyd County/Rome market,” he said. “Combining Active’s marketing prowess and operational capabilities with Thornton’s customer base will allow for both rapid new customer growth and expanded services for Thornton Pest Control’s current customers.”
This is the third major acquisition for Active Pest Control. The company acquired Macon Ga.-based Active Pest Control of Middle Georgia in 2013 and Norcross, Ga.-based 24 By 7 Pest Control in 2014.
Active was established in 1985. The firm has offices in Georgia and Texas.
