Adams Joins Douglas Products as Chief Business Development Officer

His career includes roles in technical, sales, marketing and business development for a variety of crop protection companies.

Liberty, Missouri — To accelerate growth, Douglas Products has added Vince Adams to the newly created position of chief business development officer.

“We are excited to be able to add a leader to our management team who brings a proven track record of business development success,” says Wes Long, CEO of Douglas Products. “His deep knowledge of the markets we serve will help Douglas Products more rapidly acquire and develop new business.”

Adams comes to Douglas Products after serving as vice president of innovation & business development with Winfield Solutions where he held managerial responsibility for joint ventures and product development and launch process for Crop Protection and Plant Nutrition Products. Over the past year Adams has served as a business development and product innovation consultant for multinational crop protection corporations in North and South America.

Adams’ career includes roles in technical, sales, marketing and business development for companies that include Winfield Solutions, Stoller, FMC and Cytec. He holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Tennessee and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.

Long says the initial opportunities Adams will focus on include biologics, plant nutrition and crop protection. 

Agriculture has been the core business of Douglas Products for more than 100 years and the company says it is also is a leader in specialty markets.
