Bug Zero Becomes bedbugFREE

Midwest company gains membership to bedbugFREE approved roster.

Lawrenceville, N.J. — Bug Zero of Springfield, Mo., has become the most recent company approved for bedbugFREE membership. As a member, Bug Zero joins an expanding national network of pest management firms committed to the guidelines and practices of Bed Bug Central.

Bug Zero has serviced Missouri since the company’s start in 1990; the company now offers services in Arkansas and Kansas as well. To carve out a greater niche of business in its area, the company turned to the expert advice of Bed Bug Central and sought membership with the bedbugFREE network, a press release reported

“Bug Zero’s decision to become bedbugFree was fueled by a desire to have a bed bug control service available to our customers that would provide solid results,” said Bug Zero’s Michael Woodring. “Adopting the Bed Bug Central approach to bed bug control provides our customers with a program that has been researched and developed by the industries leading entomologists to ensure the safest and most effective approach to bed bug control.”

bedbugFREE is a network of “like-minded companies sharing the philosophies of Bed Bug Central.”  All companies undergo a rigorous screening process overseen by Rick Cooper and research entomologist, Jeff White. Approved companies are listed as bedbugFREE on Bed Bug Centrals’ Web site and in turn receive referrals as part of the bedbugFREE network.

As a bedbugFREE company, Bug Zero becomes part of the growing bedbugFREE network of pest management firms approved by Bed Bug Central. The firm’s Web site is quickly becoming the nation’s number one professional and consumer resource for bed bug information, the firm reports. Created by Phil Cooper, president of Cooper Pest Solutions and Richard Cooper, vice president and entomologist for bedbugcentral.com, the site provides a wealth of resources, information and products for consumers around the country.

“By far the best part of being bedbugFREE is having a source we can rely on to keep us up to date on the newest technology available to help us help our customers and position Bug Zero as southern Missouri’s leading source of the most comprehensive bed bug treatment method and information,” said Woodring.

Companies seeking to accelerate the bedbugFREE approval process may attend Bed Bug University. Bed Bug University is a four-day course designed to shorten the learning curve of companies that want to increase bed bug revenues and enhance their bed bug business model.

Another primary aim of Bed Bug University is to shorten the time spent on independent research to enable pest management firms to enter the bed bug markets quickly.

"Bed Bug University is the best way to learn because Bed Bug Central’s technicians take you out to the field and show you technology and practices,” said Dr. Austin Frishman, president of AMF Pest Management Services and industry consultant since 1967, about Bed Bug University. “Bed Bug Central and Jeff White are the only ones with this program. I recommend that people in pest control go to secure hands-on training. If you have just started dealing with bed bugs as a pest management professional, it’s an invaluable resource.”
