SNOHOMISH, Wash. — Cascade Pest Control has moved into its new headquarters in Snohomish, Wash., a suburb of Seattle. The company, established in 1979, serves the Puget Sound region, offering general residential pest services and specializing in rat and rodent control.
“The location was chosen primarily for the right combination of office and warehouse facilities,” said co-founder Kurt Treftz.
The company, which leased its previous space, has purchased its new home base. Treftz said the location offers better public visibility. It features an apartment upstairs, which Treftz said is convenient for a couple of members of the family business, who in turn can help with the building’s security.
“We were a bit amazed that, although there was an economic impact in our region, it had not translated into any excess in available office spaces,” he said. “Then, there was the matter of hiring a moving company and managing staff for the move, all while maintaining COVID protocols.”
The company contracted remodelers to create the perfect home for its expanding staff. Treftz said the new space allows for greater staff privacy while still maintaining a team environment. Internet systems at the new building were optimized.
“We planned for room to grow while striking a balance between what we’d need onsite and future planning for remote working, as well,” Treftz said. “On a lighter note, moving is always a time to purge what you just don’t need anymore.”
