FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Sunair Services has acquired the assets of privately-held Marshall Pest Control. Headquartered in Naples, Fla., the company will be integrated into Sunair's wholly owned subsidiary Middleton Lawn & Pest Control. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

Marshall Pest Control has provided lawn, shrub and pest control services to homeowners and businesses throughout Collier and Lee counties since 1997.

"Strategically, this acquisition marks our entrance into Collier and Lee counties. The establishment of a local branch in Southwest Florida allows us to serve the rapidly-growing Naples metropolitan market, ranked among the top 10 fastest growing metro areas in the country," said John Hayes, chief executive officer of Sunair. "We are happy to have Marshall Pest Control as part of the Middleton family."

"The acquisition of Marshall Pest Control demonstrates our commitment to closing the county gap along two main corridors, the southeastern and southwestern coasts of Florida. The Naples area is strategic in our efforts to expand the Middleton brand given that it offers two market imperatives, rapid growth and an attractive base of customers," said Greg Clendenin, chief executive officer of Middleton Lawn & Pest Control. "With the establishment of this new branch, Middleton brings valued services to the area and the impeccable reputation that has made us one of the nation's top lawn and pest control companies. A warm welcome the new team and our new customers."
