WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - The Better Business Bureau Serving Southeast Florida and the Caribbean honored Nozzle Nolen Pest Solutions and its president and CEO Mickey Nolen by selecting the company to receive one of this year's Torch Awards for Ethics. Torch Awards recognize businesses whose leaders demonstrate a high level of personal character and ensure that the organization's practices meet the highest standards of ethics. These great leaders inspire excellence, building trust with their employees, customers, and vendors.
Mickey Nolen leads his team by example. He was raised by hard working parents who inspired him to always do the right thing. In a letter to the BBB, he wrote: "Some people say 'ethical business' is an oxymoron. I disagree. Ethics is what separates the average companies from the great ones."
"The BBB Torch Awards for Ethics was established to further BBB's mission of advancing marketplace trust by recognizing businesses for the commitment made to build trust with their customers through exceptional business practices that can help provide an example for other businesses to emulate," said Rod Davis, president and CEO of the local BBB.
Torch Awards are given annually to businesses in three size categories. Winners for 2019 are:
Large Business Category (50+ employees) - Nozzle Nolen, Inc., West Palm Beach
Medium Business Category (10-49 employees) - Allied Property Group, Miami
Small Business Category (1-9 employees) – ServiceMaster by Glenn's, Vero Beach
Nozzle Nolen was founded by Ken Nolen in West Palm Beach in 1951. It is a family owned and operated pest control company proudly serving customers in Palm Beach, Martin, Saint Lucie, and Broward County.
