In December, Abell Pest Control, Etobicoke, Ontario, Canada, celebrated the fifth anniversary of its “12 Days of Giving” campaign. What began as a gesture of appreciation for team members has grown into a program that honors Abell’s people while supporting families in need across the communities where the company operates. Reflecting this commitment to giving, Abell also made a special holiday contribution to the University of Guelph’s Canadian Bee Gut Project, Balancing Pest Control and Pollinator Health: Disentangling the Role of Microbiome Imbalance in Honey Bee Sensitivity.
Throughout the years, the campaign has brought together Abell employees and their families for holiday baking contests, festive greeting card designs and gingerbread-house decorating encouraged creativity and friendly competition. In the spirit of community support, Abell also hosted local food drives at branches across North America. Team members collected nonperishable items for nearby food banks and invited customers and community members to participate, continuing the company’s long-standing support, which had surpassed $100,000 in donations over five years, in addition to food collected at its branches.

Fox Pest Control has recognized Shreyan Singha as the recipient of the 2025 Fox Pest Control Future Leaders Scholarship. The annual scholarship recognizes students who are passionate about service, advocacy and leadership. Singha is currently a freshman at Duke University, where he plans to major in statistics and biology, with aspirations to work in healthcare consulting and investment banking. As part of this scholarship award, Singha selected Kids of Love, a nonprofit close to his heart, to receive a donation from Fox Pest Control. Since middle school, Singha has volunteered with the organization. Kids of Love supports children with debilitating illnesses both emotionally and financially — hosting events at hospitals, helping fund Make-A-Wish experiences and providing relief to families facing unimaginable challenges, according to Fox Pest Control.
