Buddy Camors has been named the new business director of Zeneca Professional Products. He is responsible for the pest control and turf and ornamental business. Camors, a 27-year Zeneca employee, is based in Wilmington, Del., and most recently worked as Zeneca’s business director for the horticulture business.
Zeneca has also named Pat O’Bryan territory sales representative. O’Bryan will be responsible for managing sales and distribution of Zeneca’s professional pest control products in Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and western Tennessee. He comes to Zeneca from Jamison Pest Control, Memphis, Tenn.
Bell Laboratories Inc. announced Vicki Eakins, formerly Bell’s marketing coordinator, has recently taken over as technical sales representative for the northeast-north states. Eakins is based in New Jersey and provides technical and sales support to Bell distributors in northern New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Vermont, Maine and New Hampshire.
Also at Bell, John Schwerin has been promoted to director of corporate sales and marketing. Schwerin, who most recently served as Bell’s marketing manager for domestic sales, now directs the company’s sales and marketing activities in both the United States and international markets.
Copesan has appointed Mike Campbell to the position of director of operations for national accounts. Campbell’s responsibilities include, among others, coordinating and directing various operational activities carried out by Copesan to deliver service to the company’s clients.
Ed Marshall, director of technical services for LiphaTech, Milwaukee, has been appointed to the Rodenticide Stakeholder Workgroup (RSW), an EPA advisory group created to reduce rodenticide exposure among children. A subcommittee of the Pesticide Program Dialogue Committee, the RSW will educate the public and stakeholders about rodenticide safety in areas where contact with children is possible.
Bret Royal has been named territory specialist (south central United States) for American Cyanamid’s Professional Pest Control Products group. Royal will be responsible for sales of three products in the pest control market, including SIEGE gel insecticide, SIEGE PRO fire ant bait and the XACTADOSE Precision Baiting System.
Van Waters & Rogers’ Tony Smith has been named the new director of the materials planning unit for the company’s Professional Products and Services business unit. For five years, he has been district manager for the south central district.
Clemson University has named Thomas Fortson Jr. chairman of the institution’s Public Service and Agriculture Advisory Board. Fortson, president of Terminix Service Inc., will serve a two-year term as chairman, followed by a third year as advisor to the incoming officers of the advisory board.
