In February Rearview Jim Rindfleisch of the Department of Environmental and Developmental Services, County of York, Va., provided a first-hand account of his efforts to create an autonomous sprayer. As Rindfleisch explained, “The idea was to come up with something that could spray baseboards and floors on its own.” A self-describer “tinkerer” Rindfleisch retrofitted an iRobot “Create” – which is a sophisticated relative of the Roomba floor vacuum.
