David Royce, who has launched and flipped three pest control businesses, including Alterra — which he built into a $75 million business before selling to Terminix in November — is profiled in Forbes.
The article cited Royce’s widespread use of door-to-door sales professionals, and his ability to attract and retain Millennial employees, as reasons for his success in the pest control industry.
After selling Alterra to Terminix last year, Royce launched Aptive Environmental, out of his Provo, Utah headquarters. Royce currently serves as Aptive’s chairman of the board, and Vess Pearson is the CEO.
