WASHINGTON, D.C. — According to the National Pest Management Association, provisions U.S. Senator Barbara Boxer inserted into legislation providing funding for the Department of Defense and Congress that would have prevented certain pesticide applications on military bases and in the U.S. Capitol were stripped from the final versions of those bills in late July.
Another measure Sen. Boxer tried to attach to legislation providing funding for the Department of the Interior banning certain applications in National Parks was defeated 41-58 by the U.S. Senate.
