Shawn Mullen is on a mission to reduce the threat posed by mosquitoes — the world’s deadliest animal. Mullen, an urban entomologist and a graduate of Penn State University, brings a variety of experience from across the pest management industry, including sales, technical support, solutions development, and global product development and marketing.
Today, Mullen serves as the mosquito management and specialty business manager at Envu. His work helping mosquito management initiatives, like eliminating malaria by 2040, connected him with colleagues in Africa and the World Health Organization. The experience strengthened his drive to protect families and communities from mosquito-borne illnesses.
Mullen and the Envu entomology team are focused on helping pest management professionals better understand the mosquito genera behind customer complaints — and the conditions that cause bites in the first place. At that point, Mullen helps design an eco-friendly Integrated Pest Management plan using In2Care® Mosquito Station and Barricor® Essential Mosquito Control to precisely target mosquitoes, not the environment.
