SOUTHLAKE, Texas — For the past 10 years, Versacor Managed Pest Solutions, an exclusively commercial pest control provider based in Southlake, Texas, has been quietly climbing the ranks to become a premier provider in the Texas market. Before the company reached it’s 10th year, it made PCT’s Top 100 List of largest pest control companies as well as being named by the Texas Association of Business (TAB) as one of the 2018 Best Companies to Work for In Texas. In March, which marked the company’s 10 year anniversary, Versacor hosted their annual meeting to celebrate the company’s successes, employee achievements, and to look back on the first 10 years.
IMPACT, Versacor's annual three-day, company-wide meeting, was held this year at Horseshoe Bay Resort – a lovely, all-inclusive resort overlooking the Colorado River near Marble Falls, TX.
Highlights from the meeting include a putt-putt golf tournament on the beautiful Whitewater Putting Course; a natural grass, 18-hole mini-golf course at Horseshoe Bay Resort. The low score for the best-ball tournament was a whopping 21 under par! The meeting also featured industry-expert guest speakers providing expert insight and knowledge on the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) as it relates to 3rd party audited facilities as well as pest bird management in commercial facilities.
The retreat ended with a banquet dinner featuring the comedic magic of Rob Tarry and an award ceremony celebrating Versacor’s highest achievers in sales and service. Veterans and rookies alike were awarded for their extreme dedication to Versacor's Service Commitments, for creating client loyalty and for consistently performing at the highest level.

The Best Companies to Work for in Texas awards program, which is managed by the Texas Association of Business (TAB), the Texas Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), and Texas Monthly magazine, was founded in 2006. To be considered, companies must meet the following criteria:
• Be a publicly or privately held business
• Be a for-profit, not-for-profit business or government entity
• Have a facility in the state of Texas
• Have a minimum of 15 full-time or part-time employees working in Texas
• Must be in business a minimum of one year
The process for choosing the best companies to work for in Texas starts with an external evaluation of the company’s policies, practices and demographics. This portion of the process is worth 25 percent of the company’s overall score. The second part of the evaluation is an employee survey of leadership, culture, role satisfaction, training, pay, benefits, and the overall employee engagement within the company. This part of the process is worth 75 percent of the company’s overall score. The combined scores are then used to rank each company within the category of small, medium and large businesses.
This marks the second year in a row that Versacor has received this award; they were also named as one of the 2018 Best Companies to Work for in Texas.
