VPMA Names Bello Certified WDI Inspector Program Instructor

Bello replaces Dr. George Rambo, who recently retired from that position.

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. — The Virginia Pest Management Association named Paul Bello as the incoming Certified Wood Destroying Insect Inspector Program instructor after the retirement of former instructor, Dr. George Rambo. “We’re grateful for the many years of service Dr. Rambo provided in this role,, said VPMA Executive Director Andrea Coron.
 
Bello assumed the responsibilities of the role on Jan. 1, 2015.  He was recommended to the VPMA search committee by Charlie Church of Getem Termite & Pest Control in Norfolk, VA. “I know that Paul will do a great job for us and was happy to recommend him,” Church said.
 
The VPMA Certified WDI Inspector Program is unique within the industry. Each year three certification training and testing meetings are held in locations across the state in order to provide accessibility and convenience to all VPMA members. “We’re very proud of our VPMA Certified WDI Inspector Program. The intention is to provide the best training available and prepare the best WDI inspectors possible for customers of VPMA members. The committee voted for Paul unanimously because of his many years of termite and WDI experience.  We’re sure that he will do an excellent job for VPMA,” said Tom Mares, WDI Committee Chair.
 
The VPMA Certified WDI Inspector Workshop is unique program in the professional pest management industry. Since 2000, the VPMA Certified WDI Inspector Program has trained and certified over 1,100 inspectors in Virginia. Beginning this spring, attendees are provided with a downloadable training manual which they can print in advance. Attendees will also receive a workbook which follows the program agenda and provides additional information.  Paul Bello will make the first presentation of this program on March 23, 2015 in Richmond, VA.
