ORLANDO, Fla. – Massey Services has partnered with the Central Florida Hotel and Lodging Association (CFHLA) over the last five years for their Cares Collection for Homeless Students to help collect over 289,000 personal hygiene and food items for the program.
Massey Services team members volunteered their time and vehicles to assist with the collection of supplies for homeless students throughout Central Florida. In the first year of the program, they gathered 81% of the total number of items donated. In this past year’s collection, the volunteers brought in over 66,000 items of the overall CFHLA collection of 90,000 items.
“These team members have been heavily involved in partnering with CFHLA on a number of great charitable causes,” said Tony Massey, president of Massey Services. “They saw a need to give back and immediately jumped in to help and recruited other Massey team members to join in as well. At Massey, we believe in giving back to our communities and I am very proud of all the work they have done.”
Massey Services collects the items once a year and they cover four counties, Orange, Osceola, Seminole and Lake, in Central Florida.
