Pappas, 40-year industry veteran and vice president of business and growth at Hoffman Exterminating Co., Mantua, N.J., is currently working to build the commercial team at Hoffman's and being the "face of the company" by keeping the company engaged in charitable events.
Pappas started in the pest control industry by answering an ad in the newspaper for a sales position at Orkin, which led her to work for the company from 1981 to 2008.
After her time at Orkin, Pappas spent several years working with various pest control companies to help grow their businesses nationwide.
With decades of leadership experience and mentorship for young professionals in the industry, Pappas said her goal for attending industry events is to see how many people she can touch, and inspire young pest management professionals to feel comfortable and confident working in the pest control industry.
