In the following video interview, PCT sat down with Professional Pest Management Alliance Executive Director Jim Fredericks for some behind the scenes moments from the Bed Bugs Exposed video shoot. Fredericks also discusses working with Dr. Faith Oi of the University of Florida to help shape consumer education programs and to raise awareness about when and where pests are most active and more.
In line with Bed Bug Awareness Week, The Professional Pest Management Alliance (PPMA), serving as the consumer marketing arm of the National Pest Management Association, launched a new campaign – Bed Bugs Exposed. This video series, coupled with a brand-new microsite, demonstrates how bed bugs can masterfully invade homes and how rapidly a few bed bugs can turn into a widespread infestation, just in time for peak summer travel season.
PPMA also put out a call to pest control professionals for their expertise in their Bugs without Borders survey. The survey tracks trends and gathering insights from the industry on the toughest pests companies faced last year – from bed bugs and invasive species to rodents and termites.
