Kurt Vandock, vice president of strategic growth for Mosquito Squad, reviewed how the El Nino weather pattern impacted mosquito populations in 2023 and shared his perspective on public health risks of malaria in the U.S.
Many areas of the country are seeing increased mosquito pressure well beyond what has been seen in past decades. Addressing this requires a lot of education - both for the technicians and customers, who may not understand why what worked in the past isn't going to work now, Kurt Vandock, VP of Strategic Growth for Mosquito Squad, told PCT.
Vandock reviewed how the El Nino weather trend increased mosquito population in 2023 compared to previous years, and the public health risks of malaria detection in states like Florida and Maryland and what this means for PMPs.
