In PCT’s October issue, Terminix Service entomologist Kristen van den Meiracker, discussed growing concerns of the lone star tick, including a number of illnesses with its bites and the novel alpha-gal syndrome.
Van den Meiracker spoke with PCT Digital Editor Amanda Donchatz on control practices and prevention measures of the lone star tick.
She also shared her experience writing a column on mystery pests for PCT during her graduate days in the late 1990s.
