Moxie’s Walton Defeated in U.S. Senate Bid

PROVO, Utah - Jason Walton, founder and CEO of Moxie Pest Control, came up short in his bid to represent Utah in the U.S. Senate. Walton finished fourth in Tuesday’s Utah Republican primary, which was won by Rep. John Curtis (R-Utah), who captured 49 percent of the vote.

As previously reported by PCT, Walton entered the race earlier this year as a “non-career politician” who never held political office, but connected with voters over his personal and professional story and his beliefs in “personal responsibility, individual freedom, and returning to core Constitutional principles.”

Walton was one of four candidates -  including Curtis, Riverton Mayor Trent Staggs and former Utah state House Speaker Brad Wilson -  who advanced to compete in Tuesday’s primary following a state GOP convention in April.
