As part of National Pest Management Month — which runs through the end of April — PPMA has been working on a series of initiatives to raise the public’s awareness of the pest control industry’s contribution to society. These include: the launch of www.whatisipm.org – a web site dedicated to educating consumers about IPM; the Pathways to Pest Professions – an educational initiative to generate career interest in the pest management industry among high school students; the launch of PPMA’s annual TV and radio ad blitz; and a national public service announcement campaign.
