Antioch, Ill. - A-Action Pest Control, has chosen Tommy Weber to receive its annual Jacqueline Duty scholarship for students pursuing a career in business administration, marketing or another business-related field.
After his graduation from Antioch Community High School in Antioch, Ill., Weber will be attending Augustana College in Rock Island, Ill., majoring in business. He will be playing volleyball for Augustana while working toward his degree.
This $1,000 scholarship is awarded annually in memory of Jacqueline Duty, wife of Douglas M. Duty, founder of A-Action. It is intended to encourage entrepreneurship and small business ownership, as these are core principles on which A-Action was founded on and are important to the overall local community.
