SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Gabriel Aguillon, a service manager at Bob Jenkins Pest & Lawn, earned Associate Certified Entomologist status from the Entomological Society of America.
Aguillon has been with the company for 12 years and started out as a technician and was eventually promoted to service manager.
“Gabriel has always yearned for new knowledge and excelled because of his willingness and desire to learn as much as possible,” Mike Davison, general manager of Bob Jenkins Pest & Lawn, said. “He is intelligent and has a contagious upbeat personality that the customers and coworkers love. Gabriel is now taking on more of a sales and operations role.”
Davison added that having an employee with ACE certification further supports the company’s goal for quality service and knowledgeable employees.
The ACE examination is based on the knowledge of basic entomology; insect identification, life cycles, and control measures; health impacts of pests; ecological principles pertaining to pest control; environmental impacts related to pest control; integrated pest management (IPM); pesticide safety and health issues; pesticide technology and resources; organizations and associations of significance to the pest control industry; and laws and regulations affecting the industry.
