A former UPS worker, Ross founded Alco Pest Control in 1996. Ross and four other service technicians provide residential and commercial pest control services throughout Broward and Palm Beach Counties. The company has grown steadily, to the point where it now has six routes and more than 1,000 accounts.
Ross said he and his company provide GHP services and specialize in controlling the white-footed ant, a problematic pest in South Florida. Ross added that Alco has found its niche troubleshooting challenging accounts where other pest control companies have failed.
“Just the other day I got a call from a customer who lives near the Everglades who was having a horrible spider problem,” said Ross. “He said ‘I doubt you can help. I’ve had other pest control companies out here.’ He called me up later (after Alco performed the service) and said he hasn’t seen a single spider.”
