VANCOUVER, Wash. — Alpha Ecological Pest Control has been involved with several recent projects to honor our nation’s veterans, including sponsoring Hunting with Heroes, a three-day event in which 35 veterans from Oregon and Washington were brought together for a hunting and fishing trip on a private ranch in Washington state.
Hunting with Heroes, held Oct. 11-13, included a guided hunting and fishing trips provided by Blaze Outdoor Adventures. A local chef volunteered to create a delicious menu, and the event included a traditional pig-roast. Ashmead College provided volunteer massages for the veterans. There also was a poker tournament with great prizes donated from generous companies in the outdoor industry.
This year, Home w/ Heroes brought the veterans back to Camas Meadows Golf Club to finish off the weekend by enjoying a great concert with their friends, family and the community.
This was the third annual Hunting with Heroes trip in which local companies came together to create a memorable experience for service men and women.
Also, The Home Depot Foundation and Alpha Ecological Pest Control helped remodel a veteran’s home while he was on a hunting and fishing trip with Home w/ Heroes. GRO Outdoor Living and Titan Painting inc. helped in the remodel by donating volunteers and product.
