MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -Tom Swett, owner of Ameri Care Services, has been elected president designate for the Tennessee Pest Control Association (TPCA) for 2008-2009. Swett will serve the professional association consecutively over the next two years, and he will assume the role of President in July of 2009.
“I’m honored to have been elected by my peers to serve as president. Our industry continues to evolve, and with the exciting changes and opportunities on the horizon for us all, I cannot think of a better time to be such an integral part of our state’s association,” Swett said.
The election was held by sealed ballot. The ballots were opened and counted during the TPCA’s 2008 Summer Conference held recently in Gatlinburg, Tenn. TPCA members and their families attended this event which offered educational classes for managers/owners and technicians. In addition, there were social and networking opportunities including a welcome reception, dinner banquet and day events.
