“It was Ameri Care Services first year to participate, but I’ve been doing it for four years in other markets,” said Ameri care Services Marketing & Business Development Director Wanda Woodard. “It’s extremely rewarding not just to help raise money for research for our nation’s No. 1 killer – heart disease – but to get our employees on board for such a good cause. And the walk is fun and creates a great opportunity to bond with your co-workers.”
More than 500 walkers participated in the seventeenth annual Rutherford County Heart Walk. “We keep growing year to year,” said American Heart Association Middle Tennessee Regional Director Tambry Brechon. “And seeing more and more companies like Ameri Care Services step up to the plate is very exciting for us. Counting their two dog walkers, they had a big team for the first year,” Brechon laughed.
“We continue to examine ways in which we can become involved in supporting our community,” said Ameri Care Services Owner Tom Swett. “Giving back is part of being a successful business in any community. We’ve always donated to different causes, but having someone to spear head things for us has made a difference. Our staff really got involved in this, and I’m proud of my team.”
Ameri Care Services team members included: Maria Bogle, Ben Chriske, Kennedy Chriske, Stacie Chriske, Madison Miller, Philip Padget, Laura Phillips & Jingles, Michael Swett & Bella, A J Vela, Chas Vela, Paul Vela, Denise Walters, Wayne Walters, Mason Walters, Christy Westbrooks, Caty Woodard, Joseph Woodard and Wanda Woodard.
