FAIRFAX, Va. — The National Pest Management Association (NPMA) announces that former White House Chief of Staff Andrew H. Card Jr. will address attendees at Legislative Day 2007, February 26-27 in Washington, D.C.

Legislative Day 2007 marks the 20th Anniversary of the meeting, which will be held downtown in the heart of Washington, D.C. at the Mayflower Hotel, a national landmark and member of the Historic Hotels of America.

President George W. Bush appointed Card in November 2000 to serve as his Chief of Staff. When he left the post in April 2006, he was the second-longest serving White House Chief of Staff. Prior to serving this administration Card was already a distinguished Washingtonian having served as the U.S. Secretary of Transportation and a number of high-level positions in the administrations of former presidents George H. W. Bush and Ronald Reagan.

“For twenty-years, NPMA’s Legislative Day has been characterized by a program of top-notch Washington policy makers,” said NPMA’s senior vice president Bob Rosenberg. “This year will be no exception.”

Legislative Day is a once a year opportunity for individual pest management industry members to collectively come to Capitol Hill and speak directly with their elected U.S. Senators and Representatives. As always, Legislative Day will combine visits with lawmakers and their staff with an educational program and keynote presentations from renowned speakers and Washington insiders.
