Annual CPMA Conference Virtual in 2022

Pest Management Canada, the annual conference of the Canadian Pest Management Association, is a virtual event again in 2022 and features both live and on-demand sessions.

Pest Management Canada, the annual conference of the Canadian Pest Management Association, is a virtual event again in 2022 and features both live and on-demand sessions.

The conference kicked off with a live webinar on April 1. Six on-demand presentations covering management and technical training topics will be available for viewing through April 30, 2022.

The live webinar featured a panel discussion with leading pest management professionals on winning strategies to keeping your business afloat during turbulent times. Representatives from Health Canada's Pesticide Management Regulatory Agency and the Ministry of Environment provided updates on issues affecting the structural pest control industry.

On-demand management presentations include how to protect your business from cyber threats and how to develop a scientific approach to rodent management in food production facilities.

On-demand technical sessions will cover advances in bed bug control tools and methods, what you need to know about the Asian giant hornet, safety precautions when working at heights and how to protect homes from raccoons.

Attendees can earn continuing education credits (CEUs) for attending the live webinar and on-demand sessions. Visit the CPMA recertification credits website or contact Jill-Morgan Aubert to learn about the CEUs approved in your province.

CPMA President Nicholas Holland said the mix of live and on-demand sessions gives pest management professionals across Canada the flexibility to participate as their schedule allows.

“The virtual format that we’re doing this time is exciting and I think it’s actually a huge win,” he said.

The fee is $25 per attendee per session.
