The Orange County Health Department and a local wildlife center released owls in parts of Apopka, Fla., to help reduce a mouse infestation problem, according to officials.
Health authorities, plant-nursery managers and state agricultural experts said mice are infesting homes, storage areas and offices along U.S. 441 and the northeast shore of Lake Apopka in a report last month. Authorities began to log the complaints and map the extent of the infestation earlier this year.
