Arab Termite & Pest Control Wins 2007 Minority Supplier of the Year Award

The annual award is sponsored by the National Minority Supplier Development Council, a national organization that helps minority vendors to grow, develop and secure commercial contracts.

INDIANAPOLIS — Last year for the first time in Indiana a National Pest Management Association member who also is a Certified Minority Business was nominated for the 2007 Minority Supplier of the year award. 

Syed A. Shah, president, Arab Termite & Pest Control, said this recognition is a testimonial that pest management professional who is also a minority businessperson can compete and bid equally with everyone else and distinguish themselves from their peers.

Shah, who serves as a member of NPMA’s Minorities in Pest Management Committee, beat out other companies in Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio and Wisconsin

This annual award is sponsored by the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC), a national organization that helps minority vendors to grow, develop and secure commercial contracts through the bidding process.

In December 2007, another Indiana organization awarded Arab Termite & Pest Control as “Top Diversity Owned Business in Indiana 2007.”
