ATLANTA – For more than a decade Arrow Exterminators’ employees have been entertaining spectators in downtown Atlanta by sponsoring and participating in the annual Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA) Holiday Parade. Over 80 employees braved the cold to walk in the parade and expertly maneuvered two-story character balloons, the Three Blind Mice, down the one mile route.
The Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta holiday parade, the largest parade in the southeast, kicks off the holiday season by raising money for pediatric hospitals including Scottish Rite, Egleston and Hughes-Spalding. The proceeds from this year’s event will exceed $150,000 and help fund programs and equipment to serve the patients and families of CHOA. Ranked consistently as one of the top pediatric hospitals in the country by Parents magazine and U.S. News & World Report, CHOA enhances the lives of children through excellence in patient care, research and education.
“The parade has become an annual holiday tradition for our employees, some of whose own lives have been touched by the valuable services provided by Children’s,” said Emily Thomas Kendrick, Arrow’s chief executive officer and president. “We are so thankful for the opportunity to be affiliated with such a worthwhile event that not only provides the community with a memorable holiday experience but also raises funds to support the healthcare needs of children around the world.”
