Robert Grizzard, the former managing partner who ran the day-to-day operations, will stay with Arrow and manage the Macon branch office. All former T.Y. Gibson employees will join the Arrow organization. T.Y. Gibson Pest Control was started in 1945 by T.Y. and Marian Gibson and sold the company to Wendell Burton in the mid 1980’s. Chad and Tracy Burton subsequently purchased the company and grew it to service 3,500 customers. T.Y. Gibson is the oldest pest control company in Macon and employs more than 60 people.
“We are very fortunate to be able to partner with T.Y. Gibson Pest Control. T.Y. Gibson is a very well-respected name in central Georgia and we are pleased to have had the opportunity to join forces,” said Joe Thomas, CEO of Arrow. “We are excited to have Robert and the entire T.Y. Gibson staff join our team and continue to service customers at the same high level, now under the Arrow Exterminators name.”
“Arrow’s acquisition strategy is to pursue top quality companies both inside and outside our current service areas,” added Emily Thomas, COO of Arrow. “We are thrilled to acquire a company with such an excellent reputation, and we are looking forward to growing our already significant presence in the central Georgia area,” said Joey Edwards, senior vice president of acquisitions.
