ATLANTA — Arrow Exterminators has acquired McKendree Termite & Pest Control, Jacksonville, Fla.
McKendree has experienced tremendous success since its inception in 1977, and is considered one of the premier pest control companies in the Jacksonville area. This is Arrow’s 91st acquisition since 1988, and it’s first in the Jacksonville-area market.
Company founders Gene and Joyce McKendree, who retired in 2000, sold the company to their daughter and son-in-law Teri and Phil Davis. Teri began her pest management career in 1984 while working along side her parents and, after taking the reigns in 2000, continued the company’s growth. McKendree now services 2,700 customers throughout Northeastern Florida and Southeastern Georgia. Teri and the additional seven former McKendree employees will stay on with Arrow.
“We have been looking to acquire a quality pest control company in the Jacksonville market for many years” said Joe Thomas, Arrow’s CEO. “After an extensive search, McKendree is the perfect fit because of its broad coverage areas, exemplary customer service and wide-range of service offerings including a full complement of pest and termite services, rodent exclusion and new construction treatments.”
“McKendree Termite & Pest Control is an extremely well-respected company in the Jacksonville area and six surrounding counties,” said Emily Thomas, COO. “We are proud and excited to have the seasoned McKendree pest control team as part of our extended family,” she added.
“We are continuously looking for acquisition partners who will compliment Arrow’s objectives and principles. McKendree Termite & Pest Control’s dynamic organization aligns perfectly with our growth strategies and values,” added Kevin Burns, senior vice president of new business development.
