ATLANTA, Ga. - Seventy metro Atlanta branch employees and corporate staff members of Arrow Exterminators helped March of Dimes ensure healthy futures for babies by taking steps in the 2008 March for Babies fundraising event. Arrow’s team of employees, family members and friends participated in the walk that took place in Roswell, Ga. TEAM ARROW was lead by Natasha Waston and Kim King from Arrow’s corporate staff.
TEAM ARROW raised more than $6,000 for this March of Dimes signature event, which helps fund research and programs that improve the health of babies in local communities and across the country. In addition to collecting contributions, some Arrow offices also raised funds by holding garage sales, carwashes and other fundraising activities.
Arrow also sponsored a contest where employees were asked to submit tee-shirt designs for this year’s event participants. TEAM ARROW member Jaclyn Schaer from Arrow’s Roswell branch won the contest with her “Bee a Hero, Save Preemies” artwork submission, and TEAM ARROW’s tee-shirt design won the overall March of Dimes award for area participants.
“It was our honor to participate in the March for Babies, and we had such a fun time while helping to give back to the community we serve,” said Emily Thomas, Arrow Exterminator’s chief operating officer.
