ATLANTA – For more than a decade Arrow employees have been supporting the March of Dimes through their time and donations. This year’s campaign raised more than $7,500 through individual contributions, car washes, a silent auction and other fundraising activities. The campaign culminated with the 2011 March for Babies event, a 5.3 mile walk through downtown Atlanta, on April 30. Seventy of Arrow’s metro Atlanta team members, family members and friends helped the March of Dimes ensure healthy futures for babies by participating in this worthwhile event.
The March of Dimes is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality. This year’s March for Babies fundraising event had over 11,000 walkers who together raised $1.2 million that will fund programs and research that help babies begin healthy lives.
“We feel very fortunate to be able to participate in the March for Babies, and we had such a fun time while helping give back to the community we serve,” said Emily Thomas Kendrick, chief executive officer and president of Arrow Exterminators. “The March of Dimes is an outstanding organization that impacts the lives of so many families and Arrow Exterminators is proud to be a part of it.”
