Mariel Hemingway, granddaughter of illustrious author Ernest Hemingway, was the guest speaker and Brenda Wood, local television news anchor, was emcee. Michael Hanley, board of birector with the Hanley Family Foundation, was honored at the event for his dedication and commitment to helping those who struggle with the disease of alcohol and drug addiction.
“The disease of addiction touches every organization and family in some way, shape or form, and its effects are devastating,” said Emily Thomas. “St. Jude’s is committed to improving the quality of life for individuals and families affected by the disease of addiction and I am proud to be involved with their efforts.”
