CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Aruza Pest Control announced a national partnership with Military Makeover with Montel, the home renovation series airing on Lifetime. As part of the show’s 43rd season, Aruza contributed to the transformation of the home of retired Marine Corps veteran and Purple Heart recipient Sean Reeves, of King, N.C.

“At Aruza, we believe in protecting more than just homes — we believe in honoring those who’ve protected ours,” said Joshua Langdon, CEO of Aruza Pest Control. “Partnering with Military Makeover with Montel allows us to give back to veterans like Sean Reeves, who’ve sacrificed so much for our freedom.”

A native of Greensboro, N.C., Reeves joined the U.S. Marine Corps in 2008 and deployed to Afghanistan in 2010 as an infantry rifleman. During Operation Northern Penetration, he was severely wounded by an improvised explosive device and ambush, suffering a traumatic brain injury and three gunshot wounds. He was awarded multiple honors, including the Purple Heart and Combat Action Ribbon, before medically retiring in 2011.

Today, Reeves continues to serve fellow veterans as a care coordinator for Veterans Bridge Home, while managing the long-term effects of his injuries, including PTSD and non-Hodgkin lymphoma, now in remission. He lives with his partner, Marilyn Williams, a junior programmer at Atrium Wake Forest Health, and their close-knit family.

Aruza Pest Control provided professional pest control services as part of the home renovation and was represented on-site by two of its own veteran and reserve employees, underscoring the company’s mission-driven culture and community focus.

“Sean’s story is powerful and humbling,” Langdon said. “This partnership is just one way we can express one of our company’s core values — gratitude — and use our skills to make a real difference while honoring a local veteran.”

Josh Adams, senior associate producer of Military Makeover with Montel, praised Aruza’s involvement, saying: “It’s been a true privilege to work alongside a pest control team whose innovative solutions and unwavering commitment not only raise the bar in their industry but also provide meaningful support to our military community.”

The Reeves family’s home renovation will be featured across five episodes of Military Makeover with Montel, airing on Lifetime at 7:30 a.m. ET/PT on the following dates: Episode 1 on Aug. 22, Episode 2 on Aug. 29, Episode 3 on Sept. 5, Episode 4 on Sept. 12, and the final reveal on Sept. 19.
