CHARLESTON, S.C. — Atlantic Pest and Termite Management (Atlantic Pest) celebrated the spirit of giving by hosting a day of caring at Charleston Area Therapeutic Riding (CATR).
This is the first year Atlantic Pest employees have donated their time to paint fences, weed arenas, clean tack rooms and equipment, all to assist in the up keep of CATR’s grounds and stables. CATR improves the lives of children and adults with disabilities. Since inception in 1991, this program has served individuals with multiple neurodegenerative diseases, amputations, traumatic brain injury and post-traumatic stress. “This is a wonderful opportunity for our employees to get ‘hands on’ and assist such a great cause. Atlantic Pest encourages its employees to participate in charitable causes,” said Ted Ford, president of Atlantic Pest and Termite Management.
Although Atlantic Pest is a mid-size company, employing a full time staff of 30, the contribution of time and a charitable donation of $250, exceeded CATR’s expectations of community service.
