SANTA FE SPRINGS, Calif. – A silent auction and hospitality raised $8,700 to benefit the University of California Riverside’s Endowed Research Fund. Over 200 pest management professionals attended the event held June 23, 2006 at Harvey’s Resort in Lake Tahoe, Nevada. The event, held in conjunction with the Pest Control Operator’s of California Annual Convention, was co-hosted by Marsh Advantage and Target Specialty Products.

"On behalf of the university, I would like to thank the PCOC members for supporting this event, and Marsh Advantage and Target Specialty Products for co-hosting this event each year. The proceeds from the auction will help support the salaries of staff and students conducting research on urban structural pest control," said Dr. Michael Rust, Professor and Entomologist at UCR.

Ron Suber, General Manager of Orange County Pest Control, acted as emcee for the fifth year in a row. Items were donated by PCOC districts, PCOC members as well as manufacturers and suppliers of professional pest products.
