RALEIGH, N.C. — BASF and PestOne, a network of independent termite experts with a large presence in the Carolinas, were Platinum Partners for the Autism Society of North Carolina’s (ASNC) 8th annual 5K Autism Ribbon Run on Oct. 14, 2006 at Raleigh’s City Market. This year marked BASF’s fourth year of sponsorship, and the second year of sponsorship on a corporate level for PestOne.

“We’re thrilled that loyal pest control partners like PestOne would support such an exceptional organization as the Autism Society of North Carolina,” commented Bill Baxter, business manager for the professional pest control group at BASF.

In addition to its Platinum sponsorship, BASF hosted the "Termidor® Tot Trot" for children ages two to six. Timmy the Termite and Guilford the Grasshopper congratulated pint-sized participants in the Run at the finish line, cheered for participants and educated the crowd on how they can protect their homes from costly termite damage.
