RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. — BASF announced a strategic partnership for 2006 with James and Morris Carey, known as The Carey Brothers, nationally recognized experts on home maintenance and renovation. The brothers will act as consumer media spokespeople on behalf of BASF’s line of professional pest control products, supporting the manufacturer’s ongoing consumer awareness and media relations initiatives.

With over 50 years of experience as award-winning, licensed contractors, the Carey Brothers deliver user-friendly, money-saving tips on building, maintaining, and repairing homes to over 30 million people nationwide through their weekly radio program On the House, heard on nearly 150 stations nationwide. Additionally, the duo provides daily home improvement radio tips that are syndicated across the country, and are authors of an Associated Press syndicated newspaper column, also titled On The House. The brothers have also served as home improvement editors on CBS News Saturday Morning, the Family Channel’s Home & Family program, Discovery Channel’s Home Matters, PBS’s Right on the Money, and HGTV’s Smart Solutions, among others, and are monthly contributors to The Family Handyman, a widely-renowned home improvement magazine.

In addition to their extensive media experience, the Carey Brothers co-authored three books - Home Remodeling for Dummies, Home Maintenance for Dummies, and Home Improvement All-In-One for Dummies.
