Beginning this month, BASF will accept nominations for All Star Technicians from those who know their work best – their supervisors and managers. In all, 16 grand prize winners will receive the VIP treatment as honored guests of BASF at the 2006 Major League Baseball All Star Game – including airfare, accommodations, entertainment, and entry to the game, to be held July 11, 2006, in Pittsburgh, Pa. Select technicians will also be featured online and in Termidor marketing efforts throughout the year.
Staff managers can nominate their Termidor All Star Technician through a web-based entry form – found online at http://www.PestControlFacts.com/allstar – by sending in a completed hard-copy entry form, available from BASF sales specialists or by downloading a version online.
“A Termidor All Star Technician is a lot like Termidor itself – both are effective, both increase profitability, and both inspire trust from their company and the customers on their route,” said Karl J. Kisner, senior marketing manager, BASF. “We’re proud to have the country’s best technicians on the Termidor team, and bringing these stand-out performers to the All Star Game is our way of thanking them for all of their hard work year-round.”
The All Star Technician Program is the latest installment in BASF’s “Growing Beyond the Basics” initiative, fostering growth and profitability in the pest control industry. Kisner continues, “By recognizing the best technicians our industry has to offer, we at BASF are encouraging all technicians to strive toward ‘All Star’ status.”
Termidor All Star Technicians exhibit three core characteristics – knowledge, value, and service. In 500 words or less, managers should show how the nominated technician displays any combination of these characteristics – whether it’s a thorough knowledge of termite identification and control; displaying an exceptional value to the company; or by providing unmatched, outstanding service to the customers on their route.
Entries for the Termidor All Star Technician Program will be accepted beginning February 1, 2006, through March 31, 2006. Winners will be announced May 1, 2006. Official rules can be found online at http://www.PestControlFacts.com/allstar. No purchase necessary.
