RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – BASF Professional Pest Control and the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) have partnered in a marketing program for the 2005 LPGA Tour. The program, in support of Termidor® termiticide/insecticide from BASF, includes a sponsorship of golfer Carin Koch, and other tournament-specific marketing efforts throughout the 2005 season.

BASF’s LPGA sponsorships include television and online advertising during three upcoming tournaments; sponsored-feature stories on LPGA.com; and Termidor-branded clothing to be worn by Koch throughout the remainder of the 2005 LPGA Tour season.

Termidor television ads will run throughout the Michelob ULTRA Open at Kingsmill (May 5-8, Kingsmill Resort & Spa, Williamsburg, Va.), and Chick-fil-A Charity Championship hosted by Nancy Lopez (May 12-15, Eagle’s Landing Country Club, Stockbridge, Ga); both events will be televised nationally on ESPN2. In addition, Termidor ads will air during the McDonald’s LPGA Championship (June 9-12, Bulle Rock Golf Course, Havre de Grace, Md.), airing nationally on CBS and The Golf Channel.

Along with its tournament advertising, BASF will be sponsoring LPGA Tour golfer Carin Koch for the remainder of the 2005 season.

Koch, the recent winner of this year’s LPGA Corona Morelia Championship, currently sits sixth on the 2005 LPGA Money List. A native of Sweden, Koch has accumulated more than $3 million in earnings since 1995. In addition to two tournament championships (LPGA Corning Classic, 2001; Corona Morelia Championship, 2005), she has accumulated 44 lifetime top-ten finishes, including 24 top-five finishes. Koch is a three-time member of the European Solheim Cup Team (the women’s equivalent of the Ryder Cup).
